Jackson, NH

Jackson, New Hampshire is one of the most sought after vacation areas in Mt. Washington Valley. Originally known as New Madbury, Jackson was incorporated in 1800 and the name was changed to Adams in honor of President John Adams. In 1829, the name was changed to Jackson in honor of President Andrew Jackson. In 1876, the famous covered bridge was built and was known as “Honeymoon Bridge.” The bridge still remains and is the cornerstone of Jackson Village. Jackson has indoor and outdoor activities for all seasons. It has golf courses, XC and Alpine skiing, great hiking trails, fly fishing, café’s and delis, fine dining, shopping and more. It is also home to Jackson Falls, a beautiful and relaxing place to cool off in the summer at its cascading falls and swimming holes.
